The Perce-Neige Foundation is launching its 2024 call for applications to fund research projects for people with disabilities. As the field of fundamental research is covered by large-scale state or private organizations (CNRS, INSERM, pharmaceutical groups, etc.) with substantial human and financial resources, it is applied scientific or medical research that seems best suited to the missions of the Perce-Neige Foundation:
- Supporting people with disabilities,
- Advice and support for families,
- Information and awareness-raising for the general public.
Priority will be given to research projects that can have a positive impact on the residents of Maisons Perce-Neige.
The themes defined for this new session are as follows:
- Language disorders in people with disabilities
- The impact of diet on the disabled person, promoting or aggravating disability and/or associated pathologies
Endowment
The sums allocated will ensure the funding of this research over a period of one to a maximum of three years, with the team required to provide an interim report after 6 months for a one-year project, and every year for 2 or 3-year projects.
The funding of this research is a real asset for the residents of Maisons Perce-Neige and, more generally, for improving support for people with disabilities in the difficulties they encounter on a daily basis, thanks to a detailed analysis of the realities on the ground.
Eligibility criteria
The applicant must be a statutory researcher or teaching researcher (EPST, University…) with a research activity for the entire duration of the project.
Projects must come from research teams based in French laboratories and attached to a research or higher education organization (Inserm, CNRS, University, etc.).
The funding request may include equipment, operating, mission and personnel costs.
Applications will be assessed by a scientific committee of experts.
